Yes — you can mix and match all four methods. Your main hotel might use a GT Clock at the staff entrance. Your downtown office might use the iPad app at reception. Your field maintenance team might use mobile GPS clock-in. And your administrative staff might clock in from their web browser. All four methods feed into the same timesheets, schedules, and payroll calculations. One unified attendance system regardless of how or where employees clock in.

You define geographic zones (geofences) around your work locations — for example, a 200-metre radius around your office building. When an employee tries to clock in from the mobile app, the system checks their GPS coordinates against the geofence. If they’re within the zone, the punch is recorded normally. If they’re outside it, the system can either block the punch, flag it for manager review, or allow it with a location warning — depending on how you configure the policy.

You create schedule templates for common rotation patterns — for example, a two-week rotation of morning, evening, and night shifts. Once the template is created, you apply it to a team and TriblockHR fills in the schedule automatically. You can then adjust individual shifts by dragging and dropping. If an employee needs to swap a shift, they request it through the app, and their manager approves with one tap. Open shifts that need to be filled can be posted for employees to bid on.

Yes. Employees can view their leave balances, submit leave requests, and track approval status directly from the TriblockHR mobile app on iOS or Android. When they submit a request, their manager gets a push notification. The manager can see the team calendar (who’s already off that week) and approve or decline from their phone. Once approved, the leave is reflected on the schedule, in the employee’s balance, and in payroll — all automatically.

The Workforce Management module tracks actual hours worked and automatically applies your overtime rules — daily thresholds, weekly thresholds, and holiday premiums. When a manager approves the timesheet, regular hours and overtime hours (broken down by rate tier) flow directly into the Payroll module. The payroll calculation uses these approved hours to compute overtime pay at the correct multiplier. There’s no manual step between time tracking and payroll — the data moves automatically.

The GT Clock stores punches locally when offline and automatically syncs with TriblockHR as soon as connectivity is restored. This means employees can continue clocking in and out normally even during internet outages — the device doesn’t stop working. Once connection resumes, all stored punches are uploaded with their original timestamps so no data is lost and no manual correction is needed.
